Coverage Report

Icecat Coverage by Brand answers the question nobody can answer seriously before the project: how much of my assortment does Icecat cover? The report calculates against your own assortment and stays current as it grows. The list opens with the brands showing the biggest gaps — that is where acting pays off.

The Columns

Column Meaning
Brand The brand as Icecat reports it
Looked Up How many lookups were made for this brand
With Content How many of them returned a datasheet
Without Content How many products Icecat does not carry
Coverage % Share with content — green from 80 %, yellow from 50 %, red below
With Marketing Text How many matches actually carry a text
With Images / With Documents What else was delivered
Errors Technical failures — unlike "Without Content", something to investigate
Not Yet Requested Items of this brand that were never queued

Show Lookups jumps into the items behind a row. The language filter counts in the leading language by default; empty counts every language — an item enriched in two languages then counts twice.

Why Two Figures Instead of One

With Content and With Marketing Text are different figures, and the difference is the reason this report exists: a datasheet without a marketing text is a match that gains your sales channels nothing — the shop description stays empty. A single coverage percentage would hide exactly that.

The Honesty Column

Not Yet Requested is the report checking itself: coverage only counts what was actually asked. If only a hundred of a thousand items had been queued, 80 % would look impressive — "Not Yet Requested: 900" sets that straight. Only when this column reads zero everywhere does the percentage really describe your assortment. Unqueued items are grouped by their Manufacturer Code; ZEBRA lands on the Zebra row.

What Follows from the Figures

Finding Likely cause Path
One brand with almost no content Brand not in Open Icecat Consider a Full Icecat subscription
Gaps across all brands Missing GTINs / manufacturer part numbers Fix master data, then queue again
Matches without marketing text Icecat carries the product with a datasheet only Maintain your own text — it wins anyway
High "Not Yet Requested" figures Run incomplete Continue the coverage run
