DHL Dashboard

The DHL Dashboard is your working view for the shipping day. At a glance it answers whether anything needs doing: how many labels were created, what is still waiting for the close-out, what failed, and how the shipments on the road are getting on.

Opening the Page

  1. Search for "DHL Dashboard" via the BC search bar (Alt+Q).
  2. Or: Open the Shipping Provider List and click "Dashboard" on the DHL entry.

Layout

The figures sit in one overview: four KPI tiles with three cards beneath them. Every number is clickable and opens exactly the list it counted.

The four KPIs

Tile Shows The line underneath answers
Labels today Labels created today, with a trend line over the last seven days How many this month, and how many of them are return labels
Waiting for close-out Labels not yet handed over to DHL Whether they are all from today, or since when the oldest has been waiting
Failed labels Labels in error state How many of them appeared in the last 24 hours
On the road Shipments DHL has not delivered yet How many were delivered today, and how many have a problem

Why the line under the number matters

Twelve labels waiting for the close-out are perfectly normal if they were made this morning — and a problem if they were made yesterday. The line underneath tells you which case you are in without opening the list.

Card "Where the shipments are"

A bar shows how the shipments on the road are spread across the delivery stages: Handed over, In transit, Out for delivery and Delivery problem. The order follows the shipment lifecycle and stays constant, so the bar can be read at a glance. Every segment is clickable.

If shipments have a delivery problem, a note appears below the bar — these will not move on by themselves.

Only with tracking enabled

This card only appears when tracking is enabled in the DHL setup. See Tracking.

Card "End of day"

Line Description
Waiting for close-out Labels not yet handed over (green at zero, amber otherwise)
Oldest one waiting When the oldest of them was created
Last close-out When the last close-out ran
Cancelled this month Labels cancelled in the current month
GoGreen Plus this month Count and share of climate-neutral shipments

GoGreen Plus

DHL GoGreen Plus is the climate-neutral premium service. From August 2026 GoGreen Plus is replaced by a successor product — the dashboard shows a notification about this as long as GoGreen Plus is not set as the default in the setup.

Card "Connection and jobs"

Line Description
API status Connected, Configured, Switched off, Error or Not configured
Mode Live or Sandbox — in sandbox mode only test labels are produced
Tracking job State of the background job: Active, Running, On Hold, Error or Not configured
Tracking interval How often the job polls the tracking status
Delivery success rate Share of delivered shipments among all tracked ones

Keep an eye on the tracking job

A background job can quietly go On Hold — after a permission problem, for instance. Delivery statuses then stop updating without any error appearing. That is why the job state sits here on the daily view and not only in the setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I see the card with the delivery stages?

It only appears when "Tracking Enabled" is set in the DHL setup. Without tracking every shipment would sit in "Unknown" and the bar would say nothing. See Setting up tracking.

What does "Waiting for close-out" mean?

Labels that were created but not yet handed over to DHL in a close-out. DHL expects a daily close-out for all labels created. As long as only labels from today are waiting, that is the day in progress — but if something from yesterday is waiting, it was left behind.

Why do the failed labels say "new in the last 24 hours"?

A failed label is never retried automatically, so the total can only grow. Only the figure for the last 24 hours shows whether something is broken right now or whether these are old residue.

How often is the dashboard refreshed?

The figures reload every time the page is opened and whenever you switch back to it, plus after every action and after every click on a number.
