Packages (Multi-Colli)
The packages of a DPD shipment are entered in the merchantCENTRAL package grid. The DPD Connector does not ship a list of its own for this: the grid belongs to the platform and appears for DPD because the connector reports the multi-colli capability.
Where Do I Find the Grid?
In the Create Label dialog, in the Packages section — one line per box. After creation, the packages are listed in the merchantCENTRAL package list of the shipment.
Fields in the Grid
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Packaging Material Code | Packaging material (optional, from the merchantCENTRAL setup) |
| Weight (g) | Weight of this package in grams |
| Length (cm) / Width (cm) / Height (cm) | Dimensions of this package |
| Contents | Content of the package (subsection, items and quantities) |
After label creation, the connector fills in per package:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Package Tracking No. | The DPD parcel label number of this package |
| Tracking URL | The tracking link for this package |
| Shipment No. | The shared MPS ID of the entire shipment |
What DPD Returns
One parcel label number per package — but only one label document
DPD answers a multi-colli shipment with one parcelLabelNumber per package and one shared label document for the entire shipment. So you do not get several individual label PDFs.
The connector writes each parcel label number to its package and stores the shared document on the first package; from there the platform carries it over to the shipment header. The document contains the labels of all packages — you print it once and attach the labels to the boxes in order.
Weight Limit
Each individual package may weigh no more than 31,500 g (31.5 kg). The connector checks this before the API call and stops with a clear message instead of letting DPD reject the shipment. The total shipment weight (mpsWeight) is the sum of all packages.
Returns
Return labels do not run through this grid — a return is always a single package. See Return Labels.
