Amazon Connector Setup
The Amazon Connector Setup wizard guides you through the initial setup: seller data, authorization in Amazon Seller Central, connection test and the marketplaces you sell on. You do not enter credentials of the Amazon application anywhere – the access tokens are issued by the merchantCENTRAL token service.
Opening the Wizard
- Via the Assisted Setup page, group AD merchantCENTRAL Setup
- Via the Amazon Administration → Setup Wizard
As long as the setup is incomplete, the Amazon Dashboard points to these two ways in the Getting Started section.
Prerequisites
- The merchantCENTRAL Hub must be set up. Otherwise the wizard stops and takes you to the hub setup.
- You need your Merchant ID and access to your account in Amazon Seller Central.
Steps
Step 1: Welcome
Overview of what the wizard sets up: seller data, the authorization in Seller Central, the connection test and the EU marketplaces.
Step 2: Seller Data

| Account Name | Name of the seller account (suggestion: Amazon). |
| Merchant ID | Your Amazon seller ID (Merchant Token). Required – you cannot continue without it. |
| SP-API Endpoint URL | Address of the Amazon SP-API, prefilled for Europe (https://sellingpartnerapi-eu.amazon.com). Only Amazon's regional endpoints are accepted; an empty field restores the prefilled value. |
With Next, the wizard saves the data and sets the account to active.
Step 3: Amazon Connection

| Connect to Amazon | The token service issues a one-time consent link for the European Seller Central; it opens in the browser. Confirm the authorization there and then answer the confirmation in Business Central with Yes. |

| Amazon Authorization | Result of the last check: connected or not connected yet. |
Next only continues once the authorization is complete.
Step 4: Marketplaces

| Test Connection | Checks the AMAZON license (if the module is not registered yet, the hub opens the demo registration), gets an access token and retrieves the marketplace participations of your account. Marketplaces you participate in are preselected. |

| Select marketplaces | One checkbox per marketplace: Germany (amazon.de, preselected), France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Poland, United Kingdom (amazon.co.uk). At least one must be selected. |
| Home Marketplace | Code of the home marketplace (suggestion: DE; for the United Kingdom GB). It must be one of the selected marketplaces. |
Step 5: Setup Complete
The summary shows the seller, Merchant ID, home marketplace and the marketplaces to be created. With Finish, the wizard
- creates or updates the seller account and sets it to active,
- creates a marketplace participation for each selected marketplace (see Amazon Marketplace Participations) – with Marketplace ID, name, country and currency, as participating and with all four uses (Use for Orders, Use for Listings, Use for Inventory, Use for Pricing),
- sets the home marketplace,
- registers the connector in the hub and turns on the Amazon marketplace there if the license or a demo is active – otherwise the completion message names this step –,
- marks the wizard as completed on the Assisted Setup page.

Tips
Re-running
You can run the wizard again at any time, e.g. to add another marketplace. Finish turns all four uses back on for the selected marketplaces; marketplaces that are not selected stay unchanged. You change individual settings in the Amazon Settings.
Authorization from the Amazon Appstore
If you started the authorization in the Amazon Appstore instead of with Connect to Amazon, complete it in the Amazon Settings with Finish Connection with Code.
