Amazon Setup Wizard
Guided assistant for the initial configuration of the Amazon connector. The wizard creates the singleton seller account and configures the associated marketplaces (DE, FR, IT, ES, NL, PL, SE, BE, IE).
Opening the Wizard
- Via the central Assisted Setup, group AD merchantCENTRAL - Setup.
- Via the Amazon Dashboard → action Setup Wizard (if available).
Prerequisites
The merchantCENTRAL Hub must already be configured. Otherwise the wizard aborts and points to the Hub setup (Platform Guard).
Steps
Step 1: Welcome
Overview of what the wizard configures: 1. Seller data (Merchant ID, Application ID, endpoints) 2. SP-API credentials (Refresh Token, Client ID, Client Secret) 3. Connection test 4. EU marketplace selection
Step 2: Seller Data
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Account Name | Descriptive name of the Amazon seller account. |
| Merchant ID | Amazon Seller ID (Merchant Token). Required. |
| Application ID | Application ID of the SP-API registration (amzn1.sellerapps.app.xxx). |
| SP-API Endpoint URL | SP-API base URL (default: European region). |
| Token URL | Amazon OAuth2 token endpoint. |
Step 3: API Credentials
Enter Refresh Token, Client ID, and Client Secret via the ALN MC Secret Input pattern (DrillDown). Values are stored encrypted in the central ALN MC Credential Store.
Security
Credentials are not visible in clear text after saving. If lost, regenerate them in Amazon Seller Central.
Step 4: Connection Test & Marketplace Selection
- Connection Test: Fetches an access token from Amazon and verifies SP-API access.
- Marketplace Selection: Pick the marketplaces you sell on (e.g., DE, FR, IT, ES, NL).
Step 5: Finish
Finish will: 1. Create the singleton seller account. 2. Create a sub-account entry for each selected marketplace. 3. Mark the wizard as completed in Assisted Setup.
Tips
Re-running
The wizard can be run again at any time. Existing accounts and marketplaces are not overwritten — make changes directly on the Account Card or the Marketplace Participation.
