Amazon Order Import Errors

This page lists the Amazon orders that the order import could not turn into sales orders, with the reason. Every order import tries these orders again; Import Again does it right away. The page shows only the Amazon order ID and the reason.

The reason appears only here. It can name the buyer, for example if a customer could not be created; the Amazon Activity Log therefore only records that the order could not be imported, and the telemetry sent to ALTENBRAND contains only the error code and the place in the program where the error occurred.

Opening the Page

  • Via search: Amazon Order Import Errors
  • Via the hub monitor: the line Amazon orders that could not be imported opens this page.
  • From the error email: the hub's error notification lists the affected order IDs and refers to this page.

Actions

Action Description
Import Again After you confirm, imports the selected orders again right away, each on the marketplace on which it was placed. An order that is now imported or no longer needs an import disappears from the list. The message states how many of the selected orders are done.

How orders get here and disappear again

  • Entry: If the import of an order fails, a line is created; further failures only update the reason and the counter. Each order is imported in its own transaction – a failed one does not hold up the others.
  • Retry: Per marketplace, the import only remembers its progress up to just before the oldest failed order. The next run therefore reads that order again without you having to do anything.
  • Done: If an order is imported or no longer needs an import (e.g. because Amazon has cancelled it in the meantime), its line disappears.
  • Retention: The PII_RETENTION job deletes lines whose last failure is older than 30 days, because the error text can contain buyer data.

An unknown SKU is not an import error

If an order contains a SKU that is not mapped to any item, the hub holds it back as a marketplace order (status On Hold, provided the marketplace is set up this way in the hub). It then does not appear here but in the Amazon Orders list. Map the SKU as a marketplace offer or on the marketplace item and then import the marketplace order again.

Notification

The hub's error notification reports new entries once by email – you set the recipients and the switch in the merchantCENTRAL Setup. The email only lists the order IDs; the reasons are on this page.
