Icecat Product Content
merchantCENTRAL Icecat enriches your existing Business Central items with brand-approved product content from the Icecat catalog: marketing texts, image galleries, datasheets as PDF, and technical specifications. Items are matched by GTIN or by brand and manufacturer part number; the content feeds every connected sales channel through the platform's central description resolver.
The module works with your own Icecat account — the free Open Icecat catalog is sufficient, while a Full Icecat subscription covers additional brands and works identically.

What the module deliberately does not do
- It creates no items — it enriches what you already carry.
- It supplies neither prices nor stock — that is the supplier connectors' job.
- It never overwrites maintained text and never replaces an existing item picture.
Getting Started
- Make sure the merchantCENTRAL Hub is installed, configured and licensed.
- Register a free Open Icecat account at icecat.com and note the shop name, API token and content token.
- Start a demo or enter the licence for module
ICECAT(merchantCENTRAL modules). - Walk through the setup — enter the account, run Test Connection, choose the scope.
- Start your first coverage run and read the coverage report.
