Notes

LTL Freight Specifics

Unlike parcel carriers (DHL, DPD, GLS, UPS), Rhenus shipments can consist of multiple different packages — e.g. 2 pallets + 3 cartons in a single shipment. Loading meters and volume are used for freight calculation.

BORD512 Mapping

Each package is transmitted in the BORD512 format as a D00 record (package data), and the barcode additionally as an F00 record. Weights are specified as 6-digit zero-padded values in kilograms, dimensions in centimeters.

One Label per Package

When the shipment is created, a separate shipping label with its own tracking number is created for each package (sibling labels). All packages remain linked to the master shipment so the BORD512 end-of-day manifest groups them correctly.

Pre-configured Packaging Material

On installation, the connector automatically creates one default packaging material per BORD512 package type in the hub: RH-EP (Euro pallet), RH-FP (flat pallet), RH-HP (half pallet), RH-GI (mesh box / Gitterbox), RH-KO (collo), RH-PA (parcel), RH-KA (carton) and RH-CO (container). You can adjust or extend these under Packaging Materials; on an empty system the Euro pallet is preset as the default. Existing materials are never overwritten.
