Price Calculation Setup (Reference)
The heart of the configuration: each line represents one sales price list the engine maintains — typically one per sales channel (SHOP, AMAZON, EBAY, B2B …). Open the list by searching for Price Calculation Setup or from the setup card.
Live example price
The column Example Price (Cost 100.00) shows per line which sales price 100 of cost would produce — margin formula and rounding become tangible at a glance, without starting a run.
Basics
| Field |
Meaning |
| Price List Code |
Code of the BC sales price list; if it does not exist yet, the engine creates it with the first price |
| Enabled |
Only enabled lines are calculated |
| Source No. |
Optional: customer price group of the list |
| Cost Source |
Best Supplier Offer (default) · Item Unit Cost · Purchase Price List — the two BC sources work without any supplier connector |
| Item Filter |
Limits the items of this list (e.g. 1000..1999\|A*); items outside are skipped with "No Offer" |
| Vendor Filter |
Restricts the offer or purchase-line selection to certain vendors |
| Require Stock |
Only offers with stock count (default: on; applies to the Best Supplier Offer source only) |
The three cost sources
| Cost source |
Cost basis |
Note |
| Best Supplier Offer |
cheapest hub offer, shaped by the supplier cost conditions |
platform default |
| Item Unit Cost |
unit cost of the item card |
no vendor; conditions are not applied |
| Purchase Price List |
lowest active BC purchase line (minimum quantity ≤ 1, valid today) |
its vendor feeds the margin hierarchy |
With the BC sources, the stock-driven margin judges your own inventory instead of the supplier sum, and the list price cap stays inactive without supplier list prices.
Margin
| Field |
Meaning |
| Margin Formula |
Trade Margin: price = cost ÷ (1 − margin %) · Markup: price = cost × (1 + margin %) |
| Margin % |
Default margin of the list; overridden by the category margins |
| Min. Margin % / Min. Margin Amount |
Floors that are never undercut per item — not even by competitor adjustments |
Gross, VAT, and currency
| Field |
Meaning |
| Prices Including VAT |
B2C lists calculate gross: VAT per item is added before fees, rounding and competitor steps — 99.99 really means 99.99 including VAT |
| VAT Bus. Posting Gr. (Price) |
Posting group used to determine the VAT rate per item |
| Currency Code |
Foreign-currency lists: calculated in local currency, converted at the current rate — without a rate on file no price is published |
Rounding and cap
| Field |
Meaning |
| Rounding Method |
Commercial, to .99/.95/.90, whole amounts — or Price Points from your own tier table (action Price Points) |
| Use List Price as Max |
Never above the lowest supplier list price (compared gross on gross lists, converted on currency lists) |
Safety limits
If a price violates a limit it is rejected instead of published — the old price stays, the log names the reason.
| Field |
Meaning |
| Min. Price |
absolute floor |
| Safety Max Change % |
largest allowed change vs. the current price — the guard against supplier data errors |
| Safety Min Markup % |
minimum markup on the cost (compared net) |
| Safety Min Contribution |
"never below x per unit" (compared net) |
Smoothing, approval, derivation, stock
| Field |
Meaning |
| Min. Price Change % |
Hysteresis: smaller changes are suppressed — no price flapping on the channel |
| Force Update After (Days) |
after that many days even a small drift is published |
| Approval Threshold % |
larger changes park as proposals in the price approvals instead of going live (0 = off) |
| Base Price List Code / Base Price Adjustment % |
Channel derivation: "eBay = Shop + 5 %" — margin and offer selection are skipped, every check still applies |
| High/Low stock thresholds and adjustments |
Stock-driven margin: overstock lowers, scarcity raises the margin — the margin floors remain the last word |
The competitor fields (strategy, offset, corridor, governance) are described in Repricing.
