Delivered Content
The Icecat Content page (search, or from the item card via Icecat Content) shows one row per item and language: what Icecat delivered — or why nothing came.
The Columns

Show Text displays the cached marketing text directly.
How the Content Takes Effect
- Marketing text: when a sales channel asks for a description, a fixed order of precedence applies — channel-specific override, then your own marketing text, then and only then the Icecat text. It fills gaps and never displaces anything. Switching the module off via Enabled removes the Icecat text from that order immediately, cached or not.
- Images: are copied into your media storage, never hot-linked; the image Icecat marks as main comes first; existing images stay, Icecat only appends. The item picture is only set when the item has none.
- Documents: datasheets, manuals and leaflets are stored as product documents including the PDF; ambiguous types are filed as datasheets.
- Specifications: land in the cache; what becomes of them is decided in the attribute mapping.
- Refreshing: items without a match are automatically retried after the configured period; matched content is refreshed according to Refresh Content After (Days).
Removing Brand Content
Icecat distributes content that belongs to the brands — and a brand can withdraw its approval. The module therefore records the origin and brand of every image and document it takes.
How: select a row of the affected brand, run Remove Brand Content. The confirmation names the brand and the count.
Removed are the brand's cached texts and specifications, the taken images including the files in the media storage, the taken documents, and the item attribute assignments created from them. Not removed is anything foreign: the image your supplier delivered stays — even on the same item.
Final
The operation deletes files and cannot be undone. It is recorded in the merchantCENTRAL log so the removal can be evidenced later.
