Goods Issue

With the Goods Issue module, you pick and pack orders, capture the weight, create the shipping label and post the shipment – all at the packing station.

Prerequisite: Module Goods Issue enabled. The badge on the tile shows the number of shipments ready to ship (filtered by the shipping agents permitted for the terminal).

Workflow

  1. Load shipment – the next shipment is assigned automatically (with Auto-Assign Enabled) or selected manually from the list.
  2. Scan items – work through the order positions by barcode. The app checks item and quantity against the order.
  3. Serial numbers – if Require Serial No. Scan is active, scan each serial number individually. The app checks against BC and prevents duplicate capture.
  4. Capture weight – if Require Weight Entry is active, take the weight from the scale or enter it manually.
  5. Packages – with Multi-Package Enabled, add multiple packages, each with its own weight.
  6. Post shipment – the shipment is posted; with Auto-Invoice on Shipment, the invoice as well.
  7. Label & packing list – are printed automatically depending on the setting (see below).

Shipping Label & Packing List

  • The shipping label is created via the configured shipment connector (DHL, DPD, GLS, UPS …). The app waits briefly for the label and sends it as ZPL to the thermal printer.
  • The packing list is output as a PDF on the Windows printer.

Whether printing is automatic is controlled by Auto Print Label / Auto Print Packing List per terminal or in the app settings.

Default shipment provider

Which provider/service is preset results from the shipping defaults (global in the Setup or per terminal).

Printer not reachable?

If no ZPL printer is configured or reachable, you can fall back to PDF. Check the printer IP/port in the Settings and test the connection.

Tips for the Packing Station
