Settings & Hardware
You reach the settings via the gear icon in the footer of the main menu. If a Settings PIN is set, the app asks for the 4-digit PIN first.
Most values are filled automatically during QR pairing – here you review or complete them and set up the connected hardware. Einstellungen speichern (save settings) at the bottom saves. The test buttons also save your entries before testing.
The device app runs in German
The client's interface is German. The labels below are quoted as they appear on the device, with the English meaning next to them.
Settings PIN
Business Central checks the PIN – it is not stored on the device. After 5 failed attempts, entry is locked for 5 minutes. Without a PIN, the settings open directly.
Business Central connection (Business Central Verbindung)
At the top, the QR quick setup offers QR-Code scannen (scan QR code) and QR-Code aus Bild laden (load QR code from an image, for devices without a camera such as the Windows packing station) – they adopt all connection data at once.

BC-Verbindung testen (test BC connection) checks the connection and whether the module is activated in Business Central. If a terminal code is entered, the test also registers the terminal – an unknown code is created as a new terminal in Business Central, provided the terminal limit allows it. The result is shown in a message window.
Tenant is not the company
Mandanten-ID is the Entra tenant, Unternehmens-ID the company inside Business Central. Both come from the QR code and are rarely typed by hand.
Sign-in mode

Under Geräteanmeldung (Microsoft Entra) the device is signed in once per terminal: Gerät anmelden starts the Microsoft sign-in, after which it shows Angemeldet als: … instead of Gerät nicht angemeldet. Gerät abmelden ends the device sign-in again.
The device sign-in carries the licence
Without a signed-in device account, nobody can sign in with badge and PIN. See Licensing & Modules.
Scale (Waage (TCP/IP))
For weight capture in goods issue and item weighing:

Waagenverbindung testen (test scale connection) checks that the scale is reachable at host and port. Read an actual weight afterwards in Item Weighing with Von Waage lesen – that also verifies the command.
Printing (Druck)
The print settings belong to the terminal in Business Central. The client adopts them at startup – unless this box is ticked:

Without the tick, the fields below are disabled and show what is configured in BC. The two automatic-printing switches then always follow the terminal card; a printer is only adopted when the terminal card actually names one – an empty field leaves the device with its current printer.
Label printer (ZPL-Drucker (Thermoetikett))

ZPL-Verbindung testen (test ZPL connection) checks that the printer is reachable at IP address and port. Nothing is printed.
Document printer (PDF-Drucker (A4 / Lieferschein))
Windows printer for A4 documents – Auswahl lists the installed printers. Windows only: Android devices print ZPL exclusively.
Automatic printing (Automatischer Druck)

ZPL or PDF
Shipping labels go to the thermal printer as ZPL; delivery notes go to the Windows printer as PDF. Item and shelf labels from Label Print go to the ZPL printer as thermal labels if one is configured, otherwise as PDF to the A4 printer – or, without any printer, they are opened as a PDF.
Which delivery note is printed
That is decided by the BC report selections, not by the app: search → Report Selections – Sales → usage Shipment.
Barcode scanner (Barcode-Scanner)

Scanner type takes effect after a restart
The app sets up the scanner at startup. After changing the scanner type, tap Einstellungen speichern and restart the app.
On Zebra devices the app creates the DataWedge profile "MC Warehouse Client" automatically at startup; the result is shown under DataWedge-Konfiguration: …. Only enter a DataWedge-Intent-Action (nur Zebra) if your MDM profile prescribes one of its own.
What is not here
- Display mode (Windows: kiosk/full screen or window): comes from Business Central – from the Setup or the terminal card.
- Language: the app runs in German; there is no language switch (see The App at a Glance).
Diagnostics
The settings offer test buttons for the BC connection, the scale and the ZPL printer. Use them after every pairing and every hardware change – so a fault shows up before it shows up in daily work. Scale and ZPL printer are only checked for reachability.
