Setup (Reference)
The MC Warehouse Client Setup page contains all global settings of the Warehouse Client. It is the reference behind the Setup Wizard – here you also change settings after the fact.
Open: Search (Alt+Q) → MC Warehouse Client Setup – or in the Hub via the
extension card of the WAREHOUSE module.
The page consists of the Warehouse Client Settings area, the License info box and the Activate in Hub action. The same settings area is also embedded in the Hub's extension card – both views always show the same fields.
Global defaults vs. terminal overrides
The values set here are global defaults. Individual terminals can override many of them (modules, weight/serial requirement, multi-package, shipping defaults, confirmation mode, display mode). See Terminals & QR Pairing.
Warehouse Mode & Goods Issue Mode
Two operating-mode switches in the Modules area determine how picking and shipping work.
Warehouse Mode – determines which of the two picking modules is available. They are mutually exclusive:

Picking modules follow the Warehouse Mode
When you switch, BC automatically disables the module that does not match. Trying to enable the wrong module – globally or as a terminal override – is rejected with an error.
Goods Issue Mode – determines where Goods Issue sources its work:

Inventory Picks requires BC warehouse management
The Inventory Picks mode requires the Warehouse Mode BC Warehouse Picks (with WMS); while it is active, the Warehouse Mode cannot be switched back. If the label fails (e.g. an address error at the carrier), nothing is posted – correct the order and ship again.
Which documents does a terminal see? Basically only documents of its location. In the Posted Shipments and Sales Orders modes, the terminal's allowed shipping agents filter in addition; documents without a shipping agent are seen by every terminal. In the Inventory Picks mode only the location applies.
Multiple packages (multi-colli): If Multi-Package Enabled is set, Goods Issue offers the packing mode in the Posted Shipments mode: items are distributed across several packages, and each package gets its own parcel label.
Which carrier prints the label? The shipping agent of the document takes precedence. If no active merchantCENTRAL shipment provider belongs to it, label creation fails – there is no silent fallback to another provider. Only if the document carries no shipping agent does the terminal default apply, then the global default, and finally the only active shipment provider. A default shipment service is only used if it belongs to the same shipping agent.

Terminal Idle Minutes
When a terminal counts as idle on the dashboard (default 5 minutes) is set only in the Setup Wizard – this page does not show the field.

Oversized Weight Threshold
The Oversized Weight Threshold (kg) (default 30) for the oversized-goods warning of Item Weighing is currently not shown on any page and applies with its default value.

Settings PIN: The PIN is stored only as a salted hash. After 5 failed attempts in the app, entry is locked for 5 minutes. The Remove Settings PIN action removes the protection.

Clean up the scan log automatically
The scan log is only cleaned up automatically if you create a job queue entry: object type Codeunit, object ID 73355160 ("ALN MCWC Scan Log Cleanup"), e.g. daily at night. The extension does not create this entry itself. Cleanup Expired Locks helps when a terminal has crashed and a lock is "stuck".
Return Reasons
The reasons for Return and Complaint come from the BC standard table Return Reasons. Only reasons with the Show on Warehouse Terminal field set appear on the terminal.
- On installation, the extension creates eight reasons:
REFUSED,UNDELIV,WITHDRAW,WARRANTY,REPAIR,DEFECT,WRONGITEM,OTHER. Existing codes remain unchanged. You can rename, add or hide reasons freely. - The reason is copied to the sales line – BC applies the reason's settings (e.g. Default Location Code, Inventory Value Zero).
- Whether a credit memo or a return order is created is chosen separately by the employee in the return – it does not depend on the reason.

Print Reports
- Delivery note: Which report is printed is defined in the BC standard: Search → Report Selection - Sales → usage Shipment. Custom reports and layouts – including customer-specific ones under Document Layouts on the customer card – are used automatically; without an entry, the standard delivery note applies.
- Item/bin label without a ZPL printer: report Item Label (ALN MCWC Item Label, PDF with Code 39 barcode). The layout can be adjusted in BC. With a ZPL printer, BC generates the label directly as ZPL.
