Kaufland Products

List view of all Kaufland products: the Kaufland marketplace items in merchantCENTRAL with EAN, title, brand, category, and the state of the product data at Kaufland. From here, EANs are looked up, product data is sent to Kaufland, and offers are created for many products at once. Clicking a product opens its Kaufland Product card with product data, description, images, and offers.

Fields

Field Description
EAN EAN/GTIN under which Kaufland lists the product. Read-only.
Title Product title. Editable here; a change goes to Kaufland with the next upload of the product data.
Brand Brand of the product, sent with the product data. Editable here like the title.
Category Name Name of the assigned Kaufland category in the language of the product's storefront.
Item No. Linked item in Business Central. Read-only; item and storefront are set when the item is listed.
Is Valid Whether the EAN is valid (color-coded: green = valid, red = invalid). Set by Validate EAN and by Refresh Product on the Kaufland Product card.
Item Synced Whether Kaufland has accepted the current product data. A change to Title or Brand resets the flag.
Sync Status State of the product data at Kaufland (color-coded): Pending (amber) = sent, Kaufland is still checking; Synced (green) = accepted; Error (red) = rejected; Paused (grey).
Last Synced When the product data was last transferred successfully.
Last Error Message Why Kaufland rejected the product data or the status could not be read – including missing and rejected attributes.

A change to Title or Brand resets Item Synced and marks the product data for sending (Update Item). If the product data has been uploaded before, the scheduled task UPLOAD-PRODDATA sends the change.

Actions

Action Description
Lookup EAN Searches the Kaufland catalog of its storefront for the EAN of the selected line and shows whether Kaufland already has a product page for it. Opens the EAN Lookup.
Validate EAN Checks the EAN of the selected product: 13 or 14 digits (GTIN-13 or GTIN-14) and the check digit. The result is shown in Is Valid.
Upload Product Data Uploads the product data of the selected products to Kaufland (after confirmation). Kaufland then checks the data itself; Refresh Product Data Status returns the result.
Create Offers Creates an offer at Kaufland for every selected product (after confirmation). See Creating Offers for Many Products.
Send Product Safety Contacts Sends the manufacturer and EU responsible person of the selected products to Kaufland, as far as merchantCENTRAL maintains them centrally. See Product Safety Contacts.
Refresh Product Data Status After confirmation, reads Kaufland's check result for the selected products. The scheduled task CHECK-PRODDATA automatically queries only products whose product data has actually been sent.
Product Safety Contacts Opens the Kaufland Product Safety Contacts.
Category Opens the assigned Kaufland Category of the product's storefront.
Item Opens the linked item card in Business Central.

Creating Offers for Many Products

Create Offers creates the offers for the selected products that would otherwise be created one by one in the Create Offer dialog. Each offer gets what the dialog would prefill:

  • the product's EAN and the condition New,
  • the price from the sales price list of the storefront's sales channel – for a product of a variant, the variant's price,
  • quantity and handling time from the merchantCENTRAL inventory calculation; if the calculation returns no handling time, 1 day,
  • the Kaufland warehouse from the Default Warehouse ID of the Kaufland Setup and the shipping group of the storefront (Shipping Group ID of the Kaufland Storefront Configuration; for the default storefront, the setup's Default Shipping Group ID as a fallback).

Skipped are products without an item, without an EAN, or with a sales channel that is not a Kaufland storefront, and products that already have an offer of new goods on their storefront that Kaufland still lists. An offer of used or refurbished goods does not count.

Each product is sent to Kaufland in a request of its own and saved on its own: if Kaufland refuses an offer, a price is missing, or the sales price list does not fit the storefront, only that product is affected; the offers created before remain. The summary at the end lists the offers created, the products without an offer with EAN and reason, and the skipped ones.

If another offer of the same storefront already sells the stock of the same item at the same location, the new offer gets quantity 0 – see One Stock, One Offer.

The action runs through merchantCENTRAL; Kaufland must be enabled and licensed there. If a scheduled task on the offers is running (REFRESH-OFFERS, SYNC-INV-BC, or SYNC-PRICES-BC), the action stops with a message; start it again after that run.
