Kaufland Connector Setup

The setup wizard guides you through the initial setup in five steps: keys, connection test, storefront, warehouse and shipping group, orders and inventory. At the end, it switches Kaufland on in merchantCENTRAL and starts the scheduled tasks. All settings can be changed later on the KAUFLAND row of the marketplace card.

Opening the Page

  • Assisted Setup → group “AD merchantCENTRAL Setup” → Kaufland Connector Setup
  • On the marketplace card via the action Setup Wizard

The entry in Assisted Setup is created by the installation; a company created later gets it as soon as someone opens the list. An update leaves a completed entry completed.

The wizard first checks whether merchantCENTRAL itself is set up, and otherwise takes you there.

Prerequisites

  • A Kaufland seller account with API access
  • Client Key and Secret Key from the Kaufland Seller Portal (Settings → API)
  • A warehouse and one shipping group per storefront in the Seller Portal (Settings); without a shipping group, Kaufland does not accept offers

Steps

Step Content
1. Welcome Overview and prerequisites.
2. Authentication Enter the Client Key; enter the Secret Key by clicking the field (it is stored encrypted and never displayed). Use Playground for tests without any effect on the live shop.
3. Connection Test Test Connection sends Kaufland a request that Kaufland verifies using the keys. The Status field shows whether Kaufland accepted the keys, or Kaufland's response if it did not.
4. Marketplace Configuration Default Storefront (the country you start with), Default Warehouse ID and Default Shipping Group ID from the lookup lists that Kaufland provides for your account, as well as Create Sales Orders and Auto Sync Inventory (both on by default).
5. Switch On Switch On Kaufland and Start Background Tasks (both on by default), plus what runs from now on and what is still left to do.

What “Finish” Does

  1. Saves the settings and enables the default storefront: it becomes the first sales channel on the marketplace card.
  2. Creates the missing scheduled tasks and starts day-to-day operations: orders (with sales orders), shipment notices and – with Auto Sync Inventory – inventory every 15 minutes, returns and tickets every 30 minutes. The wizard does not start the price sync: you decide yourself when the sales price lists replace the prices on Kaufland.
  3. Marks the assisted setup as completed.
  4. Switches Kaufland on in merchantCENTRAL, like Enabled on the marketplace card. Without a license, merchantCENTRAL first opens the registration for the free demo; if you cancel it, Kaufland stays switched off, and the tasks wait until Kaufland is switched on and licensed.

A message summarizes whether Kaufland is switched on, whether the tasks are running, and which storefront was enabled.

Afterwards

  • On the marketplace card, assign each sales channel a sales price list in its currency (CZ in CZK, PL in PLN, otherwise EUR).
  • On the marketplace card, in the Data Protection section, choose the customer for the orders: a collective customer or one customer per buyer.
  • Read your offers from Kaufland (Refresh Offers on the Kaufland Offers page) and link them to your items.
