eBay Item Specifics
Item specifics (aspects) are the attributes eBay expects per category — such as brand, colour or material. The connector fetches them per category from eBay and checks for missing required specifics before publishing.
Display
The item specifics appear as a FactBox on the category lookup and the item card.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Aspect Name | Name of the attribute (e.g. Brand, Color) — bold when required. |
| Constraint | Requirement level, colour-coded: red (Required), yellow (Recommended), standard (Optional). |
How are aspects filled?
The listing sync transfers the item's BC item attributes as eBay aspects (name-value pairs). So maintain the item attributes in Business Central to match the aspect names the category requires.
Before publishing, the connector checks whether a matching item attribute with a value exists for every Required aspect, and logs missing entries as a warning.
Refreshing
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Fetch Item Specifics (category lookup) | Re-fetches the aspects of a single category. |
| Sync Item Specifics (dashboard) | Fetches the aspects of all cached categories. |
Tips
Attribute names = aspect names
Name BC item attributes exactly like the eBay aspects (e.g. "Brand" instead of a local term) — then the required-field check finds the values automatically.
Missing required specifics
eBay may reject listings with missing required aspects. If a listing is rejected, first check the FactBox for aspects marked red.
