Print Service Dashboard
Central entry point for the merchantCENTRAL Print Service. The dashboard shows the current status of the print queue and all configured printers at a glance.
Opening the Page
- Via search: Print Service Dashboard
- Via the merchantCENTRAL home page → Modules → Print Service
KPI Areas
Queue Status
Shows the current state of the print queue.
| KPI | Description |
|---|---|
| Queued Jobs | Number of print jobs waiting to be processed (status: Queued or Sending). Click opens the filtered print job list |
| Failed Jobs | Number of failed print jobs requiring attention. Click opens the filtered print job list |
| Printed Today | Number of documents successfully printed today. Resets at midnight |
Quick Error Analysis
Click Failed Jobs to jump directly to failed jobs. There you can see the error message and trigger a retry if needed.
Printers
Shows the current status of the printer fleet.

| Online Printers | Number of active printers with "Online" status. Click opens the printer list |
| Offline Printers | Number of printers with "Offline" or "Error" status. Requires checking the ECIService or network connection |
| Total Printers | Total number of all enabled printers |

| Process Queue | Processes all pending print jobs immediately. Useful after a printer disruption when multiple jobs have accumulated |
| Test All Printers | Tests connectivity to all enabled printers and updates their online status. Shows a summary (✓ Tested / 🟢 Online / 🔴 Offline) |
| Retry All Failed | Resets all failed print jobs to "Queued" and restarts processing |

Document Types in the Queue (v3.0)
As of version 3.0, the print queue shows not only shipping labels but all document types:

Typical Workflow
- Morning: Open dashboard → Check all printers are online
- On errors: Run "Test All Printers" → Identify offline printers → Check ECIService
- After disruption: "Retry All Failed" → "Process Queue" → Check status
- Ongoing: Dashboard shows automatically updated KPIs on each page visit
Automatic Refresh
The dashboard refreshes KPIs on every page visit (RefreshOnActivate). For real-time monitoring, the page can be manually reloaded.
