Shopware 6 Switch to Hub Prices
Shopware 6 can determine its prices in two ways:
- Own prices (so far): the connector reads the lines of the shop's customer price group from all price lists, falls back to the unit price of the item card when no line fits, and converts into the shop currency.
- Hub prices: the price comes from the sales price list of the shop, as merchantCENTRAL determines it for all marketplaces – the same list the Price Engine writes. Before it is sent, the merchantCENTRAL price check checks it. Tier prices come from the same list.
After the update Shopware 6 keeps running on its own prices. You switch yourself, once the check on this page shows no error.

The pseudo price (strike-through) stays as it is, and so do the tax rates the connector uses to split a price into gross and net for Shopware.
The check
When it opens, the page checks every enabled shop:

With hub prices switched on, the page only checks whether each shop's price list can still feed it. The comparison with the own prices and the setting Item Prices Incl. VAT no longer matter then.
A shop's price list is the one already assigned to its sales channel on the marketplace card, otherwise the shop's price list when it holds lines of its customer price group, otherwise the only active list of that group.

A shop's sales channel keeps following the shop after the switch: disable or enable a shop, and the same holds for its sales channel on the hub, which fetches orders, stock and prices only for enabled sales channels.
What does not go out with hub prices
- A blocked price and a price error (no price in the list, a list that does not fit): the shop keeps its price. This also holds for an item update – texts, SEO URL and stock go out, the price and the tiers do not, and a new item is only created once it has a price; the error message then leads to the item. The full price and quantity sync sends the stock of an item with a price error, and nothing for a blocked one.
- A price below cost or below the minimum margin at the moment of sending: tier prices are read from the list when they are sent, and the unit cost moves on its own. The connector therefore checks these two floors once more right before sending; the next price sync then records the block in Blocked Prices.
First run after the switch
So far the marketplace price held the gross price of the shop, from now on the amount of the price list. The switch drops the gross price for every item without a fixed price, so it is neither sent as a list price nor taken as the reference of the price check. After the switch all these prices are therefore flagged as changed once and go out with the next price sync. Until the prices are calculated, no price goes out for these items.
