Shopware 6 Foreign Price Rules
Besides the price of a product, Shopware knows advanced prices: prices that only apply when a rule from the Rule Builder matches – for example "customer group is Dealer". When such a rule applies to a customer, Shopware charges the rule's price instead of the product price.
The connector maintains only two of these: the product price and the graduated prices under its own rule (the shop's rule with the condition "Always valid"). Every other advanced price belongs to someone else – the shop itself, an extension or a migration – and merchantCENTRAL neither writes nor updates it. This page shows them.
Typical case: moving from Shopware 5
In Shopware 5 every price belongs to a customer group; the default group is called Shopkunden. The move to Shopware 6 creates these prices as advanced prices under a rule "Shopkunden" – frozen at the state of the move. Customers of that group then buy at the old price, whatever Business Central publishes.
Opening the page
- Via search: Shopware 6 Foreign Price Rules
- Shop card → Check Price Rules (checks the shop and opens the page)
- Dashboard → Connection and sync → Last price rule check
Fields
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Shop | The shop the rule belongs to. |
| Rule Name | Name of the rule in the shop's Rule Builder. |
| Price Rows | How many advanced prices the shop keeps under the rule, graduated prices included. |
| Products | How many products and variants have a price under the rule. |
| Below Published Price | How many products the rule sells for less than the net price merchantCENTRAL last published. Red as long as the rule is not tolerated. A click opens the affected items. |
| Example Product No., Example Rule Price (Net), Example Published Price (Net) | The product the rule undercuts the most – the figure that shows what is at stake. |
| Tolerated | The rule's prices are intended, for example customer group prices maintained in the shop. A tolerated rule is no longer reported by the dashboard or the price sync; its marks on the items are removed at once. |
| Checked At | When the shop's price rules were last checked. |
Only the price for one unit in the shop's currency is compared. A graduated price from a larger quantity is no undercut, a price in another currency is not compared.
Actions
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Check Price Rules | Reads the advanced prices of the shops in the filter again and compares them with the net prices last published. Nothing is changed in the shop. Runs through the hub (licence check) and not for shops in Simulation Mode. |
| Show Items | The items the selected rule undercuts. |
| Open Rule in Shop | Opens the rule in the Rule Builder of the shop administration. Its Assignments tab lists every product with a price under the rule. |
When the check runs
- The whole list with Check Price Rules – on the shop card or here. Only this finds the items whose price has not changed for a while.
- Every single item with each price transfer: the connector reads the product's price rows for the graduated prices anyway and checks them along the way. A newly found undercut is written once to the log; when it disappears in the shop, the next transfer removes the mark.
The affected items are shown on the dashboard under Waiting for you → Items cheaper under a shop rule and on the item card in the fields Undercutting Shop Rule and Shop Rule Price (Net).
Removing a foreign rule
merchantCENTRAL deletes nothing in the shop – a rule may be intended. If its prices are a leftover, remove them in the shop:
- Export the advanced prices under Import/Export (backup).
- In the Rule Builder (Open Rule in Shop), check under Assignments whether the rule is used anywhere besides product prices – for shipping or payment methods, for example.
- Remove the rule's product prices: in the product list with the bulk edit → Advanced prices → Remove → choose the rule (at most 100 products per run), or for many products through the Admin API. Do not choose "Clear" – it removes all advanced prices, including the connector's graduated prices.
- Delete the rule once it is no longer used anywhere, and refresh caches and indexes in the shop.
- Run Check Price Rules again.
Do not remove the conditions
A rule without a condition applies to every customer in Shopware. Removing the condition of such a rule instead of deleting the rule and its prices sells to all customers at the rule's price.
