Marketing Texts in Other Languages
The marketing text on the item card is written in the language of item texts. Sales channels in another language therefore do not get it – a text in the wrong language would be worse than none. On this page you enter the marketing text per language. It then applies to every channel of that language: amazon.fr, ebay.fr and the French side of amazon.com.be all get the same text.

Prerequisite
The language of item texts must be set in the merchantCENTRAL setup. Without it, merchantCENTRAL tells no languages apart; the page then shows a hint and accepts no input.
Fields

| Languages of the Sales Channels | The languages of every enabled channel the item is listed on, except the language of item texts. Further languages of a channel (e.g. French on amazon.com.be) count too. |
| Without Text | Channel languages that have no marketing text yet. |
| Marketing Text (in this language) | The text, multi-line. Paragraphs and line breaks are kept. Clear the field to remove the text. |
| Status | Missing, Up to Date or Outdated. Outdated means the marketing text on the item card was changed after this text was written. |
| Origin | Manual or Copilot (a reviewed AI draft). |
| Translated At | When the text was last written. |
| Marketing Text of the Item Texts | The marketing text of the item card to translate from. It is never changed here. |
| All Languages | All existing texts with status and the beginning of the text. Not Used means the language has become the language of item texts, or none is set up – the text is not sent. |
Actions

| Delete Text (in All Languages) | Deletes the text of the selected language, also one that is not used. The channels of that language fall back to the next stage. |
| Translate Marketing Text | Copilot drafts the text in the chosen language – without a language, in every channel language without a text. You review each draft before it is used. The action appears only when a module offers it (SEO Engine). |
Which text a channel gets
For a channel in another language than the item texts, this order applies:
- The listing's own text on the marketplace item card (for a further language of the channel: Texts in Further Languages)
- The marketing text of that language from this page
- A text from an external source in that language (e.g. Icecat)
- The item translation (Description and Description 2)
If nothing is found, the description stays empty. A channel in the language of item texts keeps getting the marketing text of the item card.
Notes
- Saving flags every listing of the item that sells in this language for update.
- Variants are sent with the text of their item. There is therefore no text per variant.
- Plain text is stored. Formatting such as HTML is added by each connector.
- When the item is deleted, its texts are deleted with it.
