Ingram Micro Setup Wizard

The wizard guides you through the first setup. Everything it asks for is also on the Ingram Micro Setup page, where you can add or change it at any time.

Starting the Wizard

  • Assisted Setup → group AD merchantCENTRAL - EinrichtungSet up Ingram Micro Supplier Connector
  • Via the Supplier Card INGRAM-MICROIngram Micro Setup Wizard

Hub first

If the merchantCENTRAL Hub is not set up yet, the wizard redirects to the Hub setup. That is intended: the connector needs the Hub's settings.

The Steps

Step Content Can be skipped
1 Welcome What the connector does and what you need
2 OAuth2 Credentials Client ID and Client Secret in a masked dialog yes
3 Account Settings Customer Number, Country Code, Use Sandbox, Vendor No. yes, without credentials
4 Connection Test Test Connection signs in to Ingram and names the reason of a failure yes
5 Import Sources Price List (Article Base) and Availability (hourly): source URL and Active yes
6 Manufacturer Selection Analyze Manufacturers loads the manufacturers from the price list, Select Manufacturers opens the selection yes
7 Order Settings Simulation Mode (on by default), Notification Email
8 Setup Complete Enable Auto Sync, Sync Interval (Minutes)

Only a half-entered state is refused: a Client ID without a Client Secret (or the other way round), and credentials without customer number and country code — Ingram checks both on every request.

Finish saves the setup, marks the wizard as done and starts the job queue entry if Auto Sync is enabled.

Trying it without credentials

If you do not have the credentials yet, skip steps 2 to 6 and leave Simulation Mode on. The order workflow can then be tried out completely in Business Central, without anything going to Ingram.
