Finish Amazon Connection
In this dialog, you complete an Amazon authorization that you started in the Amazon Appstore. After the confirmation in Seller Central, the Amazon connection page shows a connection code; you paste it here. With it, Business Central collects from the merchantCENTRAL token service the key it uses to request access tokens from then on.
If you started the connection with Connect to Amazon, you do not need this dialog – there, the confirmation in Business Central completes the connection.
Opening the Page
- In the Amazon Settings → action Finish Connection with Code
Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Connection Code | Connection code from the Amazon connection page. It is shown there once, is valid for 30 minutes and can only be used once. The dialog removes any spaces that come along when you paste it. |
With OK, Business Central redeems the code. The message This Amazon account is connected … confirms the connection, and Amazon Authorization in the Amazon Settings shows Connected.
Tips
Code not accepted
- This connection code is not valid. – Copy the code again, in full, including the part before the dot.
- The connection code was not accepted. – The code has expired (30 minutes) or has already been used. Start the authorization in Amazon again to get a new one.
No permanent access
The connection code is not a password that gets stored: it works once and only for a short time. Business Central does not store any credentials for Amazon.
